I love photographing newborns and those precious first few weeks with you all settling into a family together. These images are the ones that you will truly treasure for a lifetime! To book in I take your due date into my diary which will ensure you get a shoot within 3 weeks of your baby being born. Ideally I like to book shoot dates in for around 1 week old but always happy to see how you all feel once baby has arrived for a final shoot date.
As an experienced newborn photographer in Hertfordshire I understand that following baby’s lead is really important. My sessions are never rushed as its all baby led- they are completely in charge and I allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and burping then getting them back into a relaxed sleepy stage to get those beautiful chilled out images. We can have an in person or over the phone consultation upon booking so you can choose the colours and props you love and that would look fantastic displayed in your home.
If you are waiting to find out the sex of your baby that’s absolutely fine too, we can always choose colours once they arrive too. I have a huge range of props, colours and outfits and encourage any special items to be bought with you to make your images truly special to you.
Parents are always encouraged to be photographed too- even just in a silhouette or just your hands holding your new baby. Even if you are camera shy these are the images that in a few years will be most precious and the ones that when they are all grown up, your baby will love the most too!

Upon booking
I ask for a £99 deposit to book in your due date. I only book a limited number of newborns per month to make sure I have lots of space for when babies surprise us by turning up very early, or keep us waiting when they are late! Once baby has arrived and you bring them home then we book in a date to suit everyone, usually when baby is between 1-3 weeks old. After your session youll be invited back to view all of your stunning images and to choose the images you would like to keep. I have three packages and then extra artwork can be added on top, with stunning large pieces available. Your deposit will be taken off your chosen package and you do not need to commit before seeing your photos.

I tend to book up 3-4 months in advance and suggest any point after your 12 week scan is best to book in with me. Ill take your due date into my diary and that means you'll be guaranteed a space when baby is born. We see how you are all feeling when baby arrives and thats when we will book a shoot date in. If baby has already arrived and you would like to book in a last minute shoot then no problem- where babies arrive early or late I can often fit in last minute requests so contact me below to find out my availability.

Try not to worry, babies are so unpredictable that we let them lead the shoot completely. If they are full up and sleepy we may start with some posed images first but if they are taking time to settle then I tend to wrap them up nice and snug. This reminds them of being back in the womb- as well as hopefully letting out any wind! A mixture of white noise, comforting wrapping and a nice warm studio means that most babies tend to relax. If the worst was to happen and baby is really having a bad day then of course Id invite you back for a different day- but I've never had to do that so far!

Of course! This shoot can be for all members of the family, immediate and extended- pets included! Just let me know in advance who you would like to bring with you. Sometimes I suggest that family comes just for the start of the shoot and then they can take any younger siblings home too, so we can have more of a relaxing shoot with just your newborn.

I love themed requests! If you want to incorporate a job, a hobby or just something that you love then let me know. I have a wide range of props but can get all types of things made up in advance. At the moment I have a tiny golf club, skis, tennis racket, typewriter, guitar...the list goes on and Im always looking to add to my mini collection!
Artwork
As well as digitals and prints, I can provide your home with some stunning pieces of artwork. These can be displayed around your home for years to come and I only work with the best photograph labs around the world to make sure that the pieces you get all simply stunning. When you come for your shoot in the studio you'll be able to view the samples of artwork on my walls and if you have a place in mind in your home for your pieces, I have software that can show you what this will look like in different sizes on your wall. I can supply a range of both framed and unframed canvases and acrylics as well as single and grouped framed images all coming in a wide selection of finishes, perfect for any home.
